Every trading strategy ends with the same small print: past performance is no guarantee of future results. Almost nobody checks the past performance either. That is what we do.
We take strategies that people share, sell and swear by, from YouTube and X to trading forums and academic papers. We rebuild each one from its published rules and run it through the tests its author usually skipped.
What every strategy goes through
Real costs. Commissions, slippage and the delay between a signal and a fill.
The whole account. What a real account earns against simply holding the index, not just the average trade.
Years it has never seen. Out-of-sample data and neighbouring settings, so a lucky parameter cannot pass.
A normal life. Could someone with a day job and a broker account actually run it?
What you get
An honest verdict you can use: what holds up, what does not, and what survives with a fix. When a strategy fails, we say so, even when it is one we trade ourselves. When one passes, we show exactly how it works.

Found something on X or YouTube that looks too good to be true? Leave a comment on any issue with a link to the rules or the video. The strongest candidates go into the testing queue.
Research, not investment advice. Backtested results are hypothetical.
